Boludos Wedding || Part 1

Finalmente, llegaron las fotos tan esperadas de la boda. Fue muy difícil hacer una selección cuando tengo cientos de fotos para elegir y cuando todas son una ms linda que la otra. Gracias al estudio Cuika Foto por las fotos geniales! En esta primera parte les voy a mostrar y contar sobre la elección de mi vestido y de todos los accesorios que usé. Espero les gusten! 
Finally, the photos has arrived. It was very difficult to make a selection when we received plenty of photos, each more beatiuful than the other one. Thanks to the studio Cuika for the amazing photos! In this first selection, I will show you my dress & tell you about my wedding dress choice as well as of all the accessories. Hope you will like them!

 

 

El vestido. La elección del vestido me llevó un tiempito largo, no sabía si comprarme uno hecho (tratar de encontrar 'el' vestido en algun negocio vintage o hacerme uno a medida. La segunda opción fue la que ganó...buscando vestidos sabía que no queria el 'típico vestido de novia', no quería ni cola, ni velo. Quería algo simple, elegante y que siguiera mi estilo. Fui feliz cuando en durante las pruebas mandé una foto a una de mis hermanas y me dijo "es MUY vos".
Con algunas ideas en mi cabeza, fui a ver a una diseñadora de vestidos de novia Belga, Valentine Avoh. Desde el principio tuve un muy buen feeling; fue ella entonces quien hizo realidad mi vestido, que se inspira mucho en los diseños y telas de Dolce & Gabanna y Valentino. El vestido, de organza de seda y encaje, fue hecho enteramente a mano por Valentine! Les recomiendo que miren su blog para conocer su atelier e inspirarse. 
Tengo que agradecer especialmente a Inma que tuvo una paciencia infinita y estuvo en cada momento que me surgía alguna duda. Sin ella hubiese sido todo mucho más difícil, love you!

The dress. It took me quite a while to decide about my wedding dress, I was hesitating between buying one (trying to find THE dress in a second hand shop)or having one made.

With some ideas on my head, I met this young Belgian wedding dress designer, Valentine Avoh. She studied fashion in London and had even worked for Alexander McQueen! From the beginning, I had a very good feeling about her & she did a great job in creating my wedding dress, which is inspired in the designs & cloths of Dolce & Gabanna & Valentino. The dress, made of silk organza and lace, was entirely hand made by Valentine. I would recommend you to check out her blog to get some inspiration & see also her atelier.

I really need to give special thanks to Inma, she had all the patience in the world & was in every moment that I needed her advice. It would have been so difficult without you, love u!

Los zapatos. Ni bien llegué a Buenos Aires, fuí al local de LOMM SHOES (que tienen una colección especial de zapatos de novias) y elegí estas plataformas doradas. Sabía que quería sandalias doradas y quería algo super cómodo también. Como verán no me las saqué en toda la noche.
The shoes. As soon as I landed in Buenos Aires, I went to look for my wedding shoes at a very nice argentinian shoe shop, LOMM SHOES. They have a special collection of wedding shoes. I was lucky to find the gold sandals that I was looking for & they were so comfy that I danced all night long.

 

El tocado. Fue gracias a Inma y sus consejos como española, que me hicieron decidir por ponerme el tocado que ella había usado para la boda de su hermana. El tocado es creación de Ani Bürech, que es la marca de novia de la tienda de sombreros Cherubina. Me encantó que tenga hojas y flores doradas y esa red que le dá un toque especial. 
The headdress. It was thanks to Inma & her advice as Spanish that made me go for a headdress, the one that she wore at her sister's wedding. It is a creation of Ani Bürech, which is the wedding brand of the Sevilla based hat shop Cherubina. I loved the gold flowers & leaves as well as the net that make it even more special.

 

  
El ramo. No queria nada muy armado, igual que con el vestido, no queria el tipico ramo de novia. Asique fui con mi mama a la floreria del barrio y elegi las flores el mismo dia de la boda. Fue un mezcla de mis flores preferidas, liliums y astromelias blancas y rosas. 
Los anillos que van a ver en las fotos, son simplemente el anillo de compromiso y la alianza ambas de L-Square.
The bouquet. I didn’t want a ‘real’ bouquet but just something more simple. I then went with my mum to the flower shop in my neighbourhood and pick up the flowers the day of the wedding. It was a mix of my favorite flowers, white & roses liliums & alstroemerias.
The rings you will see in the photos, are the engagement ring and the alliance both of L-Square.

 

Por último, quería dar las gracias a mis dos amigas, Flor Saccaggio que me hizo ese recogido con trenzas espectacular y a Luz Olivieri que me maquilló, como lo hace siempre, perfectamente. Ambas supieron saber exactamente lo que quería para ese día!

Finally, I want to thank my two friends, Flor Saccaggio that did that fantastic braided bun & Luz Olivieri who did my make-up, perfectly as always. Both were able to know exactly what I wanted for that day!

Mono

Esa única prenda que es tan simple y práctica, el mono. El mío lo compré en Buenos Aires cuando llegué, me encantó el estampado y para los calores de allá en verano me vino perfecto.

That one piece of clothing that is so simple and practical, the jumpsuit. I bought mine in Buenos Aires as soon as I arrived, I loved the pattern and it was perfect for such hot summer temperatures. The rest of the look> Mishka sandals & black jacket H&M

Black dress + kimono

Hola a todos! Después de estar cuatro semanas en Argentina, acá estoy de vuelta en Bruselas, tratando de volver a la rutina del trabajo y del mal tiempo. Como habrán visto, fue un mes lleno de eventos y entre ellos, el más importante que fue la boda. Espero pronto compartirles las fotos…no veo la hora!

Después de la boda estuvimos algunos días en Salta, la linda, y la verdad que fueron unos días increíbles! Nunca había estado en el norte de la argentina y fue un viaje espectacular. Como verán en el look hacía mucho calor y siempre es bueno llevarse un vestido negro ligero. El mío es de Paula Cahen D'Anvers de hace mil años, y el kimono fue prestado por mi hermana y es de Amor Urbano. Espero les gusten las fotos del hotel donde nos alojamos en Cafayate, una estancia que se llama Patios de Cafayate, a recomendar!

Hi everyone! After spending four weeks in Argentina, I’m back in Brussels, trying to get back into the routine of work and bad weather. As you may have seen, my month in Buenos Aires was full of events  including the most important one that was my wedding. I hope to share the photos soon... I can’t wait to see them all!
After the wedding we spent a few days in beautiful Salta. It was my first time in northern Argentina and I really liked it, it was an amazing trip. As you can see from my outfit the weather was very warm so it's always smart to pack a light black dress. This one is from Paula Cahen D'Anvers & my sister’s kimono from Amor Urbano. Hope you enjoy the pictures that we took at the hotel where we stayed in Cafayate, a kind of estancia called Patios de Cafayate, highly recommend it!

Denim dress

La primavera nos regaló un adelanto de buen tiempo y sol la semana pasada y a mí me encontró en Madrid! Así que tuve la oportunidad de dar visitar uno de los museos más bonitos de la capital española: el Museo Sorolla. Os lo recomiendo, porque además del interior tiene este fantástico jardín de inspiración musulmana y clásica, que me encanta! Como el buen tiempo me pilló desprevenida, aproveché para ir a Mango donde me compré este maravilloso vestido camisero y este fabuloso bolso, que combiné con zapatos de River Island y con rebeca Vintage. Además, decidí cortar por lo sano mi melena! Espero que os guste!

Last week there was a preview of good weather and sunshine! As I was in Madrid, I had the chance to visit one of the most beautiful museums in the Spanish capital: Museo Sorolla. I recommend it, because in addition to the interior it has this fantastic garden of Muslim and classical inspiration, which I really love! As the warm weather caught me off guard, I went to Mango where I bought this wonderful denim dress and this fabulous bag, which I combined with River Island shoes and a Vintage cardigan . Also, I decided to have my haircut done! Hope you like it !

Winter shorts

¿Una mañana fría de invierno llevando shorts? Por supuesto. Los shorts hace mucho que dejaron de ser sólo para el verano. Con un par de medias calentitas, y combinándolos con una camisa de seda y un jersey calado ambos de Zara, estos shorts camel de Promod se han convertido en un must de esta temporada por su versatilidad tanto para looks de oficina como para un día de shopping. Y siempre quedan ideales con unos zapatos Oxford o Monk Strap, como los que llevo aquí de Topshop. Os deseamos un feliz fin de semana!

Camel trench

Hola a todos, a pesar de que es lunes, al menos yo arranco la semana muy contenta ya que es el viernes estoy viajando a Buenos Aires! Asique este será uno de los últimos looks de invierno - voy a cambiar completamente de outfits con los 30 grados que me esperan en Argentina. Como habrán podido ver, el color camel y en especial el trench (y los tapados largos) fueron unos de los must de esta temporada. El mio lo tengo hace varios años ya, fue uno de hallazgos en un vintage de Génova(Betty Page Boudoir)..además lo puedo usar tanto en invierno como en primavera (le puedo sacar el abrigo que lleva dentro). El resto del look: sombrero de piel y sweater vintage, jeans y bolso de topshop y por último mis nuevas Stan Smith. 

Hi all, Monday is always a hard day but I´m still very happy as this coming Friday am flying to Buenos Aires! So, this will be one of my last winter looks as 30 degrees are waiting for me in Argentina. As you might have noticed, the camel color and especially the trench (and long coats too) were among the must-have items this season. I got mine several years ago, was one of those findings in my favorite vintage store in Genoa(Betty Page Boudoir)...I can also wear it both in winter and in spring (you can remove the inside). The rest of the look: vintage fur hat and sweater, jeans and bag Topshop and finally my new Stan Smith.

Maxi scarf in a cold and sunny morning

Me encanta el frío sol de invierno, pero en particular esas mañanas de enero muy frías pero bañadas por la luz cálida de este sol tan particular! Y para hacer frente a las bajas temperaturas, este año he recibido uno de los mejores regalos posible: una maxibufanda de Zara en tonos mostaza, borgoña y azul marino que me tiene loca. Está siendo mi complemento "must" desde me la regalaran por mi cumple, junto con el maravilloso anillo de Sansoeurs, de dos hermanas diseñadoras españolas, que diseñan preciosas joyas minimalistas y delicadas. Completo este look en tonos tierra y borgoña, con un abrigo college de Zara, una pamela de New Look, pitillos de Primark y botines vintage.

I love the cold winter sun, but particularly those very cold mornings in January but lapped by the warm light of this particular sun! And to cope with low temperatures, I have received this year one of the best gifts possible: one Zara maxi-scarf in mustard, burgundy and navy which makes me crazy. It is still my "must" of the season since it was given to me for my birthday, along with the wonderful Sansoeurs ring, designed by two Spanish sisters. I will recommend you to have a look at their beautiful minimalist design and delicate jewelry. I complete this look in earth and burgundy  tones with a college Zara coat, a New Look pamela, a pair of Primark skinny jeans and vintage boots.
