Winter shorts

Out of place

Siempre me gustó lo que está fuera de lugar. Aquello que te llama la atención no por lo que es, sino por el lugar en el que está situado. Algo así como una montura de gafas incrustada en el adoquín de una calle tranquila del barrio europeo de Bruselas. La bauticé como "la calle de las gafas en el suelo", pero lo cierto es que se trata de la Avenida Michel-Angelo, a quien curiosamente tan bien se le dio sacar a las cosas de su lugar tradicional. Asimismo, unos leggins de vinilo muy rockeros pueden dar lugar a un outfit sobrio y elegante. Disfrutad del fin de semana estéis donde estéis.

I love what is out of place. Things that catches your eye not because what they are, but because the place in which they are placed. Something like an eyeglass frame embedded in a cobblestone of a quite street in the European district of Brussels. I baptized it as the street of the glasses on the floor, but the truth is that this is the Avenue Michel-Angelo, who curiously did know so well to get things out from their traditional place. The Abraham archives: new exhibition at Antwerp’s Mode Museum

El Museo de la Moda de Amberes(MoMu) alberga una interesante colección sobre el legado de los archivos de la compañía suiza Abraham, que creó los estampados que utilizaron los grandes maestros de la moda del siglo XX como Balenciaga, Dior, Givenchy e YSL. Muchos de los diseños fueron encargados a artistas como Joan Miro y Marc Chagall. Una deliciosa conjunción entre arte visual y tejido para dar forma a prendas únicas.

The Fashion Museum in Antwerp (MoMu) hosts an interesting collection on the legacy of the Swiss company Abraham, who created the prints used by the great designers of last century as Balenciaga, Dior, Givenchy and YSL. Many of the designs were commissioned from artists such as Joan Miro and Marc Chagall. A delicious combination between visual art and fabrics to shape unique pieces.
