Gold & Denim in the Plaza San Martin

Back again in Buenos Aires. Although this stay was shorter, it was very intense stay, with some great news, several parties and the wedding of an dear friend. In this post, I am in the Plaza San Martin, from which you can see the English Tower and the Kavanagh Art Deco skyscraper. This is one of the most beautiful spots in Buenos Aires, in my opinion. If you visit it, maybe you will also get the chance to have your photo taken with the Grenadier Cavalry!

Hi everyone!, today I will tell you more about my holidays in Buenos Aires and in particular, my visit to the Evita Museum. The museum is located in an old house in Barrio Norte, which was acquired by the Social Aid Foundation María Eva Duarte de Perón in 1948. There, it used to run the Transit Home which housed women coming from outside the city with health, work or documents problems .Today the museum has a permanent sample, which shows dresses and costumes used when Evita was the first lady. His style-challenged alike admired and-as was his figure, did not go unnoticed. Elegant, feminine, flair led to the same Christian Dior to say: "I've dressed queens, princesses, movie stars, but the biggest Queen  was Evita".

Happy 2014 to everyone! This is our first post of the year! We hope we had a great Christmas and a very fun NYE. We've been away for a couple of weeks since we left to our respective countries to spend Xmas holidays with our families. In my case, Buenos Aires received me very well as usual but this time with very high temperatures. Even at night was so hot that, as you can see in the pictures, I'm wearing shorts (which I generally wear just for the beach). That night I was with my nieces enjoying a very good Mexican restaurant, Lupita, in Puerto Madero. One feature of this neighborhood, is the Puente de la mujer ("Women´s Bridge"). A swing bridge designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Its appearance is very similar to Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin and the Alamillo Bridge in Seville, both also designed by Santiago Calatrava.
