La terraza del "Anders auf dem Turmberg", comandado por el jovencísimo chef Sören Anders, ofrece una fantástica vista sobre Karlsruhe. Esta ciudad, muy cercana a Frankfurt y cuyo nombre significa en alemán "el descanso de Carlos" en honor al rey que la fundó, es considerada la sede de la justicia alemana, ya que alberga el todopoderoso Tribunal Constitucional alemán, además de numerosos centros tecnológicos. En la frontera de la Selva Negra, ofrece un paraje excepcional para disfrutar de la naturaleza.

The terrace of the "Anders auf dem Turmberg", led by the young chef Sören Anders, offers a fantastic view over Karlsruhe. This city, very close to Frankfurt and whose German name means "the rest of Charles" in honor of the king who founded it, is considered the seat of the German justice, as it houses the mighty German Constitutional Court, as well as numerous technology centers. Baden-Baden

Este fin de semana crucé la frontera y descendí por el río Rin hasta llegar a Karlsruhe, próximo a Frankfurt. Muy cerquita, en mitad de la Selva Negra, está la ciudad de Baden-Baden. Esta ciudad de ensueño, empezó a ser frecuentada por la burguesía europea durante el siglo XIX como un lugar de descanso. Surgieron grandes establecimientos termales (por lo que la ciudad es famosa), teatro, hipódromo y el casino, uno de los más lujosos del mundo. También aquí está uno de los últimos castillos habitados de Europa. En la famosa alameda de la ciudad llamada Lichtentaler Allee, se encuentra el Museum Frieder Burda, una reluciente joya en la corona de Baden-Baden. El edificio en sí mismo es sobresaliente: un museo con luz natural, diseñado por el famoso arquitecto neoyorquino, Richard Meier. La colección en el interior se compone de obras maestras: más de 500 pinturas, dibujos, esculturas y objetos, que muestran la historia del arte de los pasados 100 años.

This weekend I crossed the border and went down by the river Rhine to reach Karlsruhe, near Frankfurt. Very close, in the middle of the Black Forest, is the town of Baden-Baden. This city of dreams, began to be frequented by the European bourgeoisie in the nineteenth century as a place of rest.
