Karlsruhe

Wedding time in Zaragoza

Enhorabuena!

Although we are not use to talk about personal matters in our blog, now it's the time to do it. On Saturday my cousin Beatriz got married with Ruben in Zaragoza and it was a big event for my family. The couple organised a very funny wedding dinner making us participate in their day and sharing with all their songs, gifts and speeches. We laughed, ate and danced all night long. We wish them all the best!

Oldfashion elevators, stairs illuminated by stained glass windows, pencil skirts that show silhouettes from another epoch. In this house located in Barrio de Salamanca is very easy to imagine the Madrid of the early XXth century, where everything had a perfume of modernity without losing the tradition.
Thanks to our gorgeous María for her lovely house and for her travel in time

70s Exhibition: more than disco and hippies

The 70s have been back for quite a few years with floral prints fabrics, bell-bottoms, the glitter and the gold-colored dresses. But the 70s are much more than hippies and disco... It is the period in which fashion - for the first time - became accessible to everyone and a new wind was blowing through society. The jeans became an indispensable element of the male and the female wardrobe. More and more synthetic fabrics or vinyl were being used and alongside flashy colors one also found many silver and strass.

The Rue de Minimes / Minimemstraat in Brussels, joins Rue du Faucon to the Place du Grand Sablon. This street owes its current name to the convent of the Order of Minims that housed since 1621. However, since the fourteenth century, this street was called in Latin Super Zabulum quo iter versus Obbruxellam, which means "the road between Saint-Gilles and Sablon". It should be noted that the construction of the Palais de Justice (coming soon) shortened this beautiful street, which is now at the heart of the antiques district. The particular street is now hosting most of the African art dealers from Belgium and, on the top of this, it is one of the epicenters of African art in the world.

Rainy Namur

This time we changed city and we head to the city of Namur, in southern Belgium. I will just describe my look as on the next post I will tell you more about the city. It was a rainy day so I decided to wear my blue plastic shoes and my favourite rainy jacket.
