Ripped Jeans & Hat at Dun Laoghaire

Inma ya les contó que estuvimos en Dublín visitando a una amiga y fue ella las que nos llevó a visitar este lugar tan lindo. Se llama Dun Laoghaire, está un poquito alejado de la ciudad pero vale la pena caminar por la costa, comer en un mercado que se hace todos los fin de semanas o tomarse un café o chocolate caliente para sobrevivir al viento y frío. No me pude resistir de entrar a TopShop el día anterior, y comprar estos jeans rotos y zapatos tipo mocasines. Las medias también son de TopShop, mis preferidas!, como las que usaba cuando era chica y tenía una fiesta de cumpleaños. El tapado es de Sessùn y el sombrero de H&M. Qué les parece? 

Inma has already told you that we have been visiting a friend in Dublin. It was her to take us to this gorgeous place outside of the city, in Dun Laoghaire. It is very nice to walk along the coast, have lunch at the market that takes place every weekend or just have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate to 'survive' the wind and cold. I couldn't resist buying the day before these pair of ripped jeans and lace up shoes at TopShop. Lace trim socks are also from TopShop, they are my favourites as they remind me to the ones I used to wear at birthday parties when I was a kid. The coat is Sessùn and the hat is H&M.Do you like the look?

Hat & Dress in Ajaccio

Hola a todos, como les había dicho en el anterior post, esta vez les muestro un poco de Ajaccio y otro look muy de verano. Después de un día de playa en Porticcio cruzamos en barco para visitar Ajaccio, la capital de Córcega. La ciudad me hizo acordar mucho a Génova, Italia (dónde viví por más de un año); calles angostas, un  poco de suciedad, los edificios pintados de colores amarillos y rosas y las persianas verdes y el puerto. Un lugar para súper recomendar es U Papacionu, donde se come una pizza increíble!

El vestido es de UrbanOutfitters, me encanta ese tejido con flores! A ustedes? El sombrero fue regalo de mi novio en uno de sus viajes a Italia; es de una tienda de Palermo que hace sombreros a mano desde el año 1908 (Berrettificio Siciliano). Lo adoro! Los anteojos y las zapas blancas (perfectas para la playa ya que no uso ojotas/chanclas) son de H&M.

Buen fin de semana y la próxima semana Inma nos mostrará un poco de sus vacaciones en el sur de España! Meme

Hi everyone, as I told you in the last post, this time I will show you Ajaccio and another summer look. After a full day in Porticcio beach, we crossed by boat to the capital of Corsica, Ajaccio. The city reminds me a lot to Genoa (where I lived for more than a year); the small and dirty streets, the colorful buildings with rose and yellow paintings and green blinds and the port. If you visit it, I can recommend one of the best pizzas places I’ve ever been: U Papacionu.

My dress is from UrbanOutfitters, I love that fabric with flowers! Do you? The hat is a very special present that my boyfriend gave me a couple of years ago. He bought it in Palermo, Italy in a shop that hand-made hats since 1908. (Berrettificio Siciliano. The sunnies and shoes (perfecto for the beach as I don’t wear flip-flops) are from H&M.

L'inconnue en rouge - 9e arrondissement

Paris no consigue ser gris ni siquiera cuando el cielo está nublado. Después de vivir un año en Paris, no fue hasta que llegué a Bruselas cuando aprendí el término "grisaille", tan típico belga para describir la luz gris de los días nublados. En París, todo desprende luz. Incluso el suelo adoquinadamente perfecto y los edificios concebidos por Haussmann. Incluso las estatuas de inspiración neoclásicas y los cada vez más inutilizados buzones de correos. Sólo una desconocida oculta bajo su fedora rojo cereza destaca entre la luz inabarcable de la ciudad más fascinante del mundo. Inma.

Paris cannot be grey even when the sky is overcast. After living a year in Paris, it was not until I came to Brussels when I learned the term "grisaille", so typical in Belgium to describe the grey light of a cloudy day. In Paris, lightness is everywhere. Even the pave and the buildings designed by Haussmann. Even the statues of neoclassical inspiration and increasingly unusable mailboxes. Just an unknown hidden under her red cherry fedora stands out from the boundless light of the most fascinating city in the world. Inma.

A walk around the picturesque Šibenik

 Con el olor a sal y a mar todavía muy fuerte en mi recuerdo, comienzo a contaros mi viaje por Dalmacia, la región del sur de Croacia famosa por sus hermosas playas. Sin embargo, Dalmacia no es sólo turismo de sol y playa, sino que tiene, además, un notable patrimonio cultural y natural protegido por la Unesco. Como es el caso de Šibenik, una pintoresca ciudad fortificada en la desembocadura del río Krka con el mar Adriático. Reminiscencias de un pasado florido de comerciantes y navegantes venecianos y turcos, que ahora son sustituidos por turistas de todo el mundo a bordo de sus imponentes barcos.

With the smell of salt and sea still very strong in my mind, I start the diary of my road trip through Dalmatia, the southern region of Croatia known for its beautiful beaches. However, Dalmatia is not just sun and beach tourism, but it has a remarkable cultural and natural heritage protected by UNESCO. As it is the case in Šibenik, a picturesque fortified town at the mouth of the river Krka in the Adriatic Sea. Reminiscent of a past with traders and sailors from Venice or Turkey, who are now replaced by tourists from around the world on its impressive boats.

A return to the roots

Seguimos de vacaciones. El Pirineo aragonés es uno de mis sitios favoritos en verano desde que, de pequeña, acampaba ahí un mes con los scouts. Aunque la mayoría de la gente lo prefiere en invierno, por sus fantásticas pistas de esquí, para mí esta zona al norte de España, muy cerquita de Francia, es un auténtico refugio cuando intento huir del calor asfixiante de la ciudad. Las montañas y los campos están pintados de un verde intenso, el agua de los ríos es tan clara que permite ver las piedras que duermen en su lecho y los pueblos, todos ellos muy hermosos, saludan al turista con sus casas de piedra y pizarra y sus calles estrechas.

Still on holidays. The Pyrenees (in Aragon) is one of my favorite places in summer since, when I was younger I used to camp here a month with the scouts. While most people prefer to come here during winter, due to its fantastic ski slopes, I love this area in the North of Spain, very close to France, because it's a real haven when I try to escape the stifling heat down in the city. The mountains and the fields are painted in bright green, the river water is so clear you can see the stones sleeping in the riverbed and the beautiful villages are full of stone houses and narrow streets.
