Hola a tod@s, primer post después de mi boda civil, habia prometido poder compartir las fotos esta semana pero tendremos que esperar para la próxima! 
Bruselas nos dio un último día de verano y elegi este look marino con una t-shirt de Petit-Bateau (para l@s que no la conocen es una marca francesa de niños pero que también tiene algunas cosas para adultos-a mi me encanta porque mezcla ese estilo super femenino y juvenil) y esta falda midi de H&M que parece hecha con tela de cortinas. Es la típica ropa que te ponés y que alguien te va a hacer un comentario. A mi me parece divina! A ustedes? Por último mis zapatitos de charol de Zara que dan un toque de color y que vienen perfectos para esos días que sabés que seguro va a llover. 
El collar es de &OtherStories y la campera es de Ben Sherman. Hasta la próxima! Meme.

Hi everyone, this is the first post after civil marriage and I know I had promised to share the photos this week but we'll have to wait until next week! Brussels gave us one last day of summer and I chose this look with a navy t-shirt from Petit-Bateau (for the ones who don't know it, it’s a French brand of children but also has some clothes for adults-I love it because it’s a mix of female and children style) and a midi skirt from H&M which seems made with fabric curtains. It is the typical clothing that you put on and surely someone will make a comment about it! Do you like it? Finally my patent leather shoes from Zara that give a touch of color and are perfect for those days that you know that is going to rain. The necklace is from & OtherStories and the jacket Ben Sherman. Meme.

Blue and bright stars

Para todo aquel que no esté familiarizado con la "Euro-bubble", este edificio no les dirá nada. Pero es más importante de lo que parace. Es el Berlaymont, la sede de la Comisión europea, una de las instituciones clave de la Unión Europea. El edificio, construido durante los años 60, 

está situado al final de la Rue de la Loi (literalmente, calle de la Ley). Anteriormente, el terreno pertenecía al convento de las "Dames du Berlaymont", de allí recibe su nombre actual.

Sobre este terreno se construyó el edificio diseñado por el arquitecto Lucien de Vestel, sobre la base de una cruz de lados desiguales, cuya superficie construida suma 240.000 m² repartidos en 16 niveles, destinados a alojar a más de 3.000 funcionarios. Los primeros inquilinos llegaron en 1967, pero todos tuvieron que desalojar el edificio en 1991, ya que la construcción contenía asbesto, una sustancia tóxica. Fue renovado y ha vuelto a acoger la Comisión desde 2004.

For those who are not familiar with the "Euro-bubble", this building doesn't have nothing in particular. But it is more important than what it looks. This is the Berlaymont, the headquarters of the European Commission, one of the key institutions of the European Union. The building, built during the 60s, is located at the end of the Rue de la Loi (literally street of the Act). The land chosen was then occupied by the "Dames de Berlaymont", a 300-year old convent  which managed a venerable girls' school. Designed by architect Lucien de Vestel, the building has a cruciform design with four wings of unequal size spanning from a central core. The surface area of ​​about 240,000 m² spread over 16 levels can accommodate more than 3,000 officials was built. The first civil servants arrived in 1967, but the building had to be evacuated in 1991, as the construction contained asbestos, a toxic substance. Kunstroute-Leuven

Lovaina: una ciudad universitaria medieval, calles empedradas, patios de ensueño y miles de bicicletas....y al parecer muchos artistas! Fuimos de paseo a Lovaina para visitar a los artistas, que abrieron sus estudios al público durante el fin de semana. Algunas de sus obras fueron memorables: las estatuas gigantes de Luk Versluys, las fotos de figuras humanas escondidas de Hilde Vanhove, las pinturas narrativas surrealistas de Jacques Debroux. Casi tan memorable fueron las casas elegantes de la ciudad, donde los artistas viven y trabajan. Todas de estilo arte nouveau con techos muy altos, pisos de mosaico y grandes ventanales. Muy lindas!

Leuven: a medieval university, cobbled streets, dreamy quadrangles, thousands of bike....and apparently many artists! We were in Leuven to visit their studios, which were open to the public during the weekend. Some of the art was very memorable: the giant statues of Luk Versluys, the twisted photos of Hilde Vanhove, the surreal narrative paintings of Jacques Debroux. Almost as memorable were the very elegant town houses where the artists live and work. All were art nouveau houses, with high, stuccoed ceilings, mosaic floors and large windows. Very pretty!

Back to school

Hola a todos, esta vez como habrán visto tengo un look un poco old school. Será tal vez la influencia de mi novio Inglés que me regaló esos zapatos oxford y que a último momento le robé su camisa blanca de trabajo y su viejo sweater (que ya no usaba y yo lo reciclé). La pollera que llevo es de cuero negra que la compré en un vintage aquí en Bruselas. La combinación azul y negro me encanta, a ustedes?

Hi everyone, this time I've chosen an old school look. Perhaps it's the influence of my English boyfriend, who gave me for my birthday these oxford shoes, and then I also have his white shirt and his old jumper that I decided to recycle. The black leather skirt I bought it in vintage shop in Brussels. Love the blue & black combination, what do you think?
